History Of FNBC Bank & Trust
FNBC Bank & Trust, established on August 17, 1908, originally operated under the name West Chicago State Bank. Over the years, the institution underwent several name changes and significant acquisitions. In 1982, it relocated its main office to Neltnor Boulevard and Washington Street in West Chicago, Illinois, and in 1996, it changed its name to State Bank of Illinois. The bank expanded its footprint by acquiring Mokena State Bank in Mokena, Illinois, in May 2000, followed by the acquisition of Foxdale Bank in South Elgin, Illinois, in December 2001. In March 2006, the bank adopted a new name, State Bank of Illinois, before again changing its name to FNBC Bank & Trust on December 31, 2014. On the same date, it acquired First National Bank of La Grange and moved its main office to 620 West Burlington Avenue in La Grange, Illinois.
