On May 4, 1970, it changed its name to First National Bank and also transitioned its regulatory oversight to the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency. In 1996, the main office relocated to 101 Northeast Hayes, Greenfield, Iowa. A notable event occurred on June 26, 2004, when the bank acquired Union National Bank located in Anita, Iowa.
