F&M Bank, originally established as The First National Bank of Falls City in 1882, has undergone several name and regulatory changes throughout its history. On March 1, 1976, the institution changed its name to First National Bank and Trust Company. After many years of operation, on December 17, 2012, the bank adopted the name F&M Bank and transitioned to being regulated by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC). On the same date, it was reclassified as a State Chartered Bank, no longer being a member of the Federal Reserve System.
