Flowers National Bank was established on January 1, 1906, originally under the name The First National Bank of Cainesville. The bank underwent a significant change on February 26, 1990, when its main office was relocated to Main Street in Cainsville, Missouri. On September 20, 2001, the main office was moved again to 1415 Washington Street in Cainsville. In a rebranding effort, the institution officially changed its name to Flowers National Bank on February 23, 2009. The bank continued its operations until it merged with Farmers Bank of Northern Missouri, located in Unionville, Missouri, on January 30, 2016, becoming part of that institution.
