Florida Community Bank

Florida Community Bank was originally established on January 22, 2010, under the name Premier American Bank, National Association, in Miami, Florida. In its early years, the bank underwent a series of acquisitions, notably acquiring Florida Community Bank in Immokalee, Florida, on January 29, 2010, followed by several other banks as part of government-assisted mergers throughout 2010 and 2011. These included Peninsula Bank in Englewood, Florida, and Sunshine State Community Bank in Port Orange, Florida. On July 25, 2011, the institution changed its name to Florida Community Bank, National Association. Over the following years, the bank continued its expansion by acquiring Great Florida Bank in Coral Gables, Florida, in February 2014 and Floridian Community Bank, Inc. in Davie, Florida, in March 2018. The bank moved its main office to Weston, Florida, on January 17, 2012. Ultimately, on January 1, 2019, Florida Community Bank merged with Synovus Bank, headquartered in Columbus, Georgia, marking the end of its independent operations.
