Florida Bank was established on July 3, 1985, originally under the name Bank of St. Petersburg, with its main office located in Saint Petersburg, Florida. The institution later relocated its main office to Tampa, Florida, on July 15, 2004, and officially changed its name to Florida Bank on June 30, 2008. Over the following years, Florida Bank expanded its operations through several acquisitions, including Florida Bank of Sarasota and The Bank of Tallahassee on March 31, 2009, and Florida Bank of Jacksonville on the same date. In 2015, Florida Bank merged with Iberiabank, based in Lafayette, Louisiana. Ultimately, on July 2, 2020, Florida Bank became part of First Horizon Bank, headquartered in Memphis, Tennessee.
