On February 26, 1990, the bank relocated its main office to 201 East 5th Street in Wahoo, Nebraska. In August 1992, FirstBank expanded its operations by acquiring the Bank of Sterling in Sterling, Nebraska, and the State Bank of Burchard in Burchard, Nebraska. A major transformation occurred on December 19, 2013, when the institution changed its name to FirstBank of Nebraska and also altered its primary federal regulatory agency to the Federal Reserve.
