Firstar Bank is a financial institution based in Oklahoma, established on November 19, 1964, originally named First National Bank, Sallisaw. The bank underwent several name changes, including a designation as First National Bank, Sallisaw on March 1, 1972, when it also relocated its main office to 100 North Oak Street in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. In 1985, the bank moved its main office again to 1720 East Cherokee Street in Sallisaw. Significant changes occurred in the early 2000s, including the acquisition of First National Bank of Roland on March 12, 2000, and the acquisition of First National Bank of Muskogee on July 1, 2012, at which point it was renamed Firstar Bank, National Association. On June 4, 2018, Firstar Bank transitioned to a state chartered bank, withdrew from the Federal Reserve System, and adopted the name Firstar Bank. Subsequent acquisitions included Fort Gibson State Bank in Fort Gibson, Oklahoma, on October 25, 2019, and the First National Bank of Stigler on April 1, 2024.
