First United Bank, originally established in 1900 as The Durant Bank & Trust Company, has undergone significant changes and expansions throughout its history. The bank completed its name change to First United Bank and Trust Company on March 31, 2006. Over the years, it has significantly expanded through various acquisitions, including First United Bank in Sapulpa, Oklahoma, in December 2000; Oklahoma State Bank in Ada, Oklahoma, in November 1999; and several other banks from 1998 to 2016, culminating in the acquisition of American Bank of Texas in Sherman, Texas, on November 10, 2016. On September 27, 2024, First United Bank transitioned to a state-chartered bank and became a member of the Federal Reserve System, resulting in a change in its primary federal regulatory agency to the Federal Reserve. Please do something with the ATM machine at the Whitesboro location it regularly has problems. I understand an occasional issue but it's getting ridiculous I had to go across the street to Landmark again yesterday after the machine wouldn't read my card and then wouldn't let me pull it of machine. It was before opening and had to sit there until an employee got there and pulled it out with pliers.... Read more
