First State Community Bank was established on May 11, 1954, originally named First State Bank of Farmington. The bank underwent a name change to First State Bank of Farmington on March 9, 1970, coinciding with the relocation of its main office to 201 East Columbia Street in Farmington, Missouri. On September 25, 1996, the institution was renamed First State Community Bank. Subsequently, the bank expanded through a series of acquisitions, including Iron County Security Bank in Ironton, Missouri on January 8, 1999, followed by Joachim Federal Savings and Loan Association in Desoto, Missouri on June 12, 1998. In 2013, First State Community Bank acquired Bank Star of the LeadBelt, located in Park Hills, Missouri, on January 12, and further expanded its footprint by acquiring Central Bank in Lebanon, Missouri on May 21, 2016.
