History Of First State Bank
First State Bank was established on July 12, 1930, in Sioux Rapids, Iowa. The bank operated for several decades, providing financial services to the local community. On April 4, 1936, the main office of First State Bank was relocated to Main Street in Sioux Rapids. Subsequently, on September 30, 1989, the main office was moved again to 123 Main Street, also in Sioux Rapids. After nearly nine decades of operation, First State Bank merged with Community State Bank on October 21, 2017, becoming part of a larger banking institution in Spencer, Iowa.
