First State Bank Nebraska is a financial institution established on December 12, 1912, originally named First State Bank. Over the years, the bank has undergone several changes and expansions. In 1972, the bank's main office relocated to Seventh and Chestnut Streets in Hickman, Nebraska. The office moved again in 2001 to 4915 Old Cheney Road in Lincoln, Nebraska. In 2004, the bank became a state-chartered institution and a member of the Federal Reserve System. The institution underwent a name change to First State Bank Nebraska on March 2, 2012. Since then, the bank has actively expanded through acquisitions, including The Farmers Bank and De Witt State Bank in May 2010, Filley Bank in September 2009, and Saline State Bank in September 2007. The bank further broadened its reach by acquiring Bank of Yutan in May 2006, and in December 2018, it added The Nehawka Bank to its portfolio.
