History Of First Southern National Bank
First Southern National Bank is a financial institution that was established on April 13, 1865, originally under the name The National Bank of Lancaster. Over the years, the bank underwent several name changes, including becoming First Southern National Bank of Garrard County in 1992. In December 1998, it adopted the name First Southern National and expanded its operations through a series of acquisitions, notably acquiring multiple branches of First Southern National Bank in various locations, including Lexington and Richmond, Kentucky. The bank's main office moved to 27 Public Square in Lancaster, Kentucky, on December 18, 1998, and later to 102 West Main Street in Stanford, Kentucky. On July 1, 2005, First Southern National Bank further expanded by acquiring The Citizens National Bank of Russellville, Citizens State Bank of Ballard County in Wickliffe, and First Bank and Trust Company of Princeton. The institution was renamed First Southern National Bank on April 15, 2011. Most recently, on July 24, 2015, it acquired First National Bank of Muhlenberg County in Central City, Kentucky.
