History Of First Safety Bank
First Safety Bank was established on May 5, 1881, originally under the name Southern Ohio Savings Association. The institution initially operated without Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) insurance. On April 2, 1985, it changed its name to First Safety Bank. In a significant move on January 4, 2012, the bank relocated its main office to 4901 Vine Street in Cincinnati, Ohio. After several years of operation, First Safety Bank merged with First State Bank located in Winchester, Ohio, on August 5, 2016, effectively ending its independent operations.
