First Partners Bank was established on October 15, 2007, originally operating under the name SouthCity Bank. The institution changed its name to First Partners Bank on March 26, 2012. On April 2, 2010, the bank transitioned its trust powers to full status. Subsequently, on March 18, 2014, the main office was moved to 2121 Highland Avenue South in Birmingham, Alabama. First Partners Bank experienced further changes when it merged with Progress Bank and Trust in Huntsville, Alabama, on June 30, 2017. The bank's operations continued until it merged with United Community Bank in Greenville, South Carolina, on January 3, 2023, marking its dissolution as an independent institution.
