In 1975, the bank relocated its main office to 440 Main Street in Lyons, Nebraska. The institution expanded its operations through acquisitions, including Uehling State Bank in Uehling, Nebraska, on January 1, 1986, and The First National Bank of Hooper in Hooper, Nebraska, on October 1, 1994. On April 30, 1999, the bank acquired The Farmers and Merchants National Bank of Oakland in Oakland, Nebraska. Following a series of transformations, the bank adopted the name First National Bank Northeast on July 1, 1993. It transitioned again on December 12, 2016, changing its name to First Northeast Bank of Nebraska, and simultaneously changed its primary federal regulatory agency to the Federal Reserve, classifying itself as a state-chartered bank and member of the Federal Reserve System.
