The bank underwent a name change to First National Bankers Bank on April 22, 1986. It relocated its main office to 7813 Office Park Boulevard in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, on January 4, 1999. Over the years, the bank expanded through several acquisitions, including Arkansas Bankers Bank in Little Rock, Arkansas; Mississippi National Bankers Bank in Ridgeland, Mississippi; and First National Bankers Bank of Alabama in Homewood, Alabama, all acquired on March 31, 2011. The bank furthered its growth by acquiring Independent Banker's Bank of Florida in Lake Mary, Florida, on September 25, 2015.
