History Of First National Bank

On December 18, 1987, it changed its name to First National Bank and transitioned its chartering agency to The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, becoming a member of the Federal Reserve System. In 1988, the bank acquired the First National Bank of Waupaca, moved its main office to 111 Jefferson Street in Waupaca, Wisconsin, and expanded its trust powers to full status. The bank continued to grow through acquisitions, including the National Bank of Commerce in Pampa, Texas, in 2000 and Dairyman's State Bank in Clintonville, Wisconsin, in 2008. On October 27, 2017, First National Bank merged with Bank First National located in Manitowoc, Wisconsin. Subsequently, on October 16, 2018, it rebranded itself as Bank First, N.A.
