First National Bank was established in 1920 under the name The First National Bank of Fabens in Fabens, Texas. Over the decades, the bank underwent several significant changes, including the acquisition of the Bank of Ysleta in El Paso, Texas, on December 31, 1992, and the acquisition of The Bank of El Paso on January 22, 1996. In 1996, the bank relocated its main office to 1500 West Main Street in Fabens, Texas. In February 2000, it changed its name to First National Bank. The main office later moved again on January 1, 2012, to 1500 North Fabens Road, Fabens, Texas. On August 1, 2016, First National Bank merged with WestStar Bank, marking the end of its independent operations.
