The First National Bank of Northern California was established on May 3, 1963, originally under the name First National Bank of Daly City. Over the years, it underwent several name changes and acquisitions, reflecting its growth and expansion in the banking sector. On October 1, 1971, the institution changed its name to First National Bank of Daly City and relocated its main office to 6600 Mission Street in Daly City, California. The bank adopted its final name, First National Bank of Northern California, on October 18, 1995. It continued to expand through acquisitions, including Oceanic Bank in San Francisco, California, in September 2012, and America California Bank in September 2015. In April 2005, it acquired Sequoia National Bank, also located in San Francisco. The First National Bank of Northern California was ultimately merged into Tri Counties Bank in Chico, California, on July 6, 2018.
