History Of First National Bank in Mahnomen
First National Bank in Mahnomen was established on June 8, 1926, as a banking institution serving the community of Mahnomen, Minnesota. Over the years, the bank underwent several name and ownership changes. In 1990, the main office was relocated to Main Street in Mahnomen. This was followed by another move on May 17, 2006, to a new location at 103 North Main Street. On February 15, 2013, the bank acquired First Financial Bank in Twin Valley, Minnesota, and subsequently changed its name to First National Bank Mahnomen Twin Valley on February 19, 2013. The bank's history came to a close when it merged with United Valley Bank, located in Cavalier, North Dakota, on October 15, 2018.
