First National Bank has a history that dates back to its establishment on October 1, 1954, originally operating under the name Uptown National Bank of Moline. In 1993, the institution changed its name to Mid America Bank, National Association, and later acquired First Bank and Trust Company located in Cairo, Illinois on June 1 of the same year. The bank rebranded to First National Bank on August 1, 1996, and subsequently moved its main office to 3717 North Brady Street in Davenport, Iowa on August 21, 1996. Over the years, First National Bank underwent several mergers, including one with First American State Bank in Oldham, South Dakota, on October 1, 2016. Most recently, on November 30, 2018, it merged with First National Bank in Slayton, Minnesota, becoming part of that institution.
