The First National Bank and Trust Company of Weatherford was established on October 26, 1964, originally operating under the name First National Bank of Weatherford. The bank expanded through acquisitions, most notably with the purchase of The Farmers National Bank of Cordell in Cordell, Oklahoma, on December 3, 1987, and Citizens State Bank in Morrison, Oklahoma, on December 15, 2012. On March 31, 2017, the institution changed its name to First National Bank and Trust Company of Weatherford. The bank's history came to a close when it merged with Blue Sky Bank in Pawhuska, Oklahoma, on March 27, 2023.
