The First National Bank and Trust Company of Ardmore, originally established as the First National Bank at Ardmore in 1889, has a long history of growth and transformation. In 1964, the institution rebranded itself to its current name, the First National Bank and Trust Company of Ardmore. Over the years, the bank has expanded through a series of acquisitions, including the purchase of the Bank of Love County in Marietta, Oklahoma, in June 1996, followed by the acquisition of First Community Bank and Trust Company of Lone Grove later that year. In October 1997, it acquired Ringling State Bank in Ringling, Oklahoma. The bank further expanded its footprint by acquiring Citizens Bank in Velma, Oklahoma, in June 2008.
