The main office was initially located at 401 South Military Street in Hamilton until it was relocated on June 1, 1996, to 341 Military Street South. On December 19, 1991, the bank changed its name to First National Bank. In the early 2000s, the bank expanded its operations by acquiring several institutions in Alabama, including the Bank of Berry on April 1, 2002, the Bank of Carbon Hill on April 3, 2002, and the Bank of Parrish on May 9, 2002.
