It was originally established prior to 1973, at which time it became a member of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), receiving its FDIC insurance on September 24, 1973. Over the years, the bank underwent several changes and milestones, including the relocation of its main office to 223 South Sixth Street in Mayfield, Kentucky on May 23, 1988.
