History Of First Independent Bank
First Independent Bank was established on February 21, 1910, originally operating under that name. The bank underwent a significant change on January 1, 1934, when it changed its trust powers to full. On December 15, 1971, First Independent Bank withdrew from membership in the Federal Reserve System. In 1984, the bank expanded its operations by acquiring Columbia Gorge Bank located in Stevenson, Washington. The bank's main office was relocated to 1220 Main Street, Vancouver, Washington, on April 22, 1991. After several decades of operation, First Independent Bank closed voluntarily and liquidated its assets on March 1, 2012.
