The institution underwent several name changes, becoming First Federal Savings Bank of Mascoutah, Illinois on February 28, 1989, and later First FSB of Mascoutah on October 18, 1994. Initially organized as a savings and loan association, it transitioned to a mutual savings bank type in 1989. Over the years, the regulatory oversight of the institution changed multiple times; it became a member of the Federal Reserve System and changed its primary federal regulatory agency to the Federal Reserve on December 31, 2020, at which point it also changed its bank class to a State Chartered Bank.
