History Of First Financial Northwest Bank
First Financial Northwest Bank is a financial institution based in Renton, Washington. It was originally established as First Federal Savings and Loan Association on January 1, 1923. Over its history, the bank underwent several name changes and structural modifications. In 1991, it changed its name to First Federal Savings and Loan Association of Renton and subsequently moved its main office to 201 Wells Avenue South in Renton. The institution transitioned to a mutual savings bank in 1992, at which time it also began supervision by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC). In 2002, the organization type changed to a stock savings bank, and it became an FDIC-supervised state savings bank. In 2007, the bank adopted the name First Savings Bank Northwest. On August 21, 2015, it was renamed First Financial Northwest Bank.
