First Federal Savings and Loan Bank is a financial institution with a history dating back to its establishment on January 1, 1923, originally named First Federal Savings and Loan Association. Over the decades, the institution underwent several changes in its organizational structure and regulatory oversight. It became a stock savings and loan on April 11, 2000, and changed its name to First Federal Savings and Loan Association of Olathe on April 30, 1988. On July 21, 2011, the primary federal regulatory agency shifted from The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency to the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), and on the same date, the institution restructured as a commercial bank, which is a state-chartered bank not a member of the Federal Reserve System. The bank's main office was relocated to 700 East Santa Fe Street in Olathe, Kansas, on November 22, 2010. Ultimately, on November 14, 2011, the institution officially adopted its current name, First Federal Savings and Loan Bank.
