First Community Bank is a financial institution that was established on January 7, 1920, under the name Bank of Adrian. The bank underwent several name changes and acquisitions over the years, notably changing its name to Adrian Buckhannon Bank in 1937 and subsequently to First Community Bank - Adrian Buckhannon in 1984. A series of strategic acquisitions began in the late 1980s, notably including First Community Bank, Inc. in Princeton, West Virginia, in January 1988. The bank's expansion continued with multiple acquisitions throughout the 1990s, leading to a renaming to First Community Bank, National Association, and becoming a member of the Federal Reserve System in April 1999. Subsequent to further mergers and changes, including the acquisition of Highlands Union Bank in Abingdon, Virginia, in December 2019, the institution is currently known as First Community Bank.
