First Community Bank is a financial institution established on April 7, 1903, originally named The First National Bank of Beemer. Over the years, the bank underwent several significant changes in its structure and ownership. On January 1, 1995, it changed its name to First National Bank and acquired American State Bank located in Homer, Nebraska. Later that same year, it moved its main office to 201 Main Street, Beemer, Nebraska. The institution further expanded by acquiring Citizens Bank in Bancroft, Nebraska, on October 1, 2000. After several decades of operation, the bank was renamed First Community Bank on June 10, 2010, on the same date it changed its primary federal regulatory agency to the Federal Reserve and converted to a state-chartered bank, becoming a member of the Federal Reserve System.
