History Of First Community Bank
First Community Bank, originally established as The First National Bank of Glasgow in 1891, underwent several significant changes and acquisitions throughout its history. In 1971, the bank moved its main office to 540 Second Avenue South in Glasgow, Montana. Over the following decades, the institution expanded by acquiring several banks, including The First National Bank of Hinsdale in 1993, Citizens First National Bank of Wolf Point in 1995, Culbertson State Bank in 1996, Cheyenne Western Bank in 1998, and First Community Bank in 1999. In 1994, the bank changed its name to First Community Bank and transitioned its primary federal regulatory agency to the Federal Reserve. The bank continued to operate until it merged with Opportunity Bank of Montana in Helena, Montana, on April 30, 2022.
