History Of First Clover Leaf Bank

First Clover Leaf Bank, initially established as the First Federal Savings and Loan Association of Edwardsville in 1921, underwent several organizational changes throughout its history. In 2006, the institution changed its name to First Clover Leaf Bank, FSB, following the acquisition of Clover Leaf Bank and moved its main office to Edwardsville, Illinois. In 2011, the bank transitioned its primary federal regulatory agency to the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency. The institution was restructured as a commercial bank and changed its name to First Clover Leaf Bank, National Association on August 15, 2014, becoming a member of the Federal Reserve System on the same day. The bank expanded its operations further in 2008 by acquiring Partners Bank located in Glen Carbon, Illinois. On March 17, 2017, First Clover Leaf Bank merged with First Mid-Illinois Bank & Trust, National Association, based in Mattoon, Illinois. The institution officially changed its name to First Mid Bank & Trust, National Association on June 25, 2018.
