History Of First Citizens Community Bank
First Citizens Community Bank is a financial institution established on June 11, 1932, originally named First Citizens National Bank. Over the decades, the bank expanded its operations and underwent several changes in name and structure. In 1970, it acquired The Citizens National Bank and Trust Company in Blossburg, Pennsylvania, followed by the acquisition of Grange National Bank of Potter County in Ulysses, Pennsylvania, in 1971. The bank moved its main office to 15 South Main Street, Mansfield, Pennsylvania, later that year. Notable acquisitions continued, including Star Savings and Loan Association in Sayre, Pennsylvania, in December 1991. Significant structural changes occurred on June 29, 2012, when the bank rebranded itself as First Citizens Community Bank, changed its primary federal regulatory agency to the Federal Reserve, and became a state-chartered bank. The bank expanded its footprint further with the acquisition of The First National Bank of Fredericksburg in Fredericksburg, Pennsylvania, in December 2015.
