First Business Bank is a financial institution established on May 1, 1909, originally named Kingston-Dalton State Bank. The bank underwent several name changes, becoming First Business Bank of Madison on March 9, 1990, before adopting its current name on March 7, 1996. Over the years, the bank has relocated its main office multiple times within Madison, Wisconsin, starting at 120 North South Street, and subsequently moving to 406 Science Drive on two occasions, before settling at 401 Charmany Drive on March 12, 2001. A significant change occurred on October 3, 2001, when the bank changed its trust powers to full. In recent years, First Business Bank expanded its operations by acquiring First Business Bank-Milwaukee in Brookfield, Wisconsin, and Alterra Bank in Leawood, Kansas, both on June 1, 2017.
