First Bank of Missouri, originally established as First National Bank of Gladstone on July 2, 1963, underwent several name changes and organizational shifts throughout its history. On September 5, 1986, the institution changed its name to First Bank of Gladstone and transitioned from a federal charter to a state charter, while also withdrawing from membership in the Federal Reserve System.
