First Bank Kansas is a financial institution located in the state of Kansas. It was established on June 30, 1955, originally under the name First State Bank of Salina. Over the years, the bank underwent several name changes, reflecting its growth and expansion. On January 17, 1968, the institution changed its name to First State Bank and Trust Company, a designation it retained until July 22, 1974, when it became known as First State Bank and Trust Company. The bank further rebranded as First Bank and Trust Co. on May 16, 1978. In January 1989, First Bank Kansas expanded its operations by acquiring Assaria State Bank in Assaria, Kansas, followed by the acquisition of The Kanopolis State Bank in Kanopolis, Kansas, on December 14, 1990.
