History Of First Bank Elk River
First Bank Elk River is a financial institution with a history that dates back to its establishment on January 1, 1907, originally named The First National Bank of Elk River. Over the years, the bank has undergone several changes in its operations and structure. On October 25, 1972, it relocated its main office to 729 Main Street in Elk River, Minnesota. The bank continued to shift its physical location, moving to 100 State Highway 55 East in Elk River on March 21, 2011, and then to 100 State Highway 55 East in Maple Lake, Minnesota, on June 2, 2011. A further move took place back to Elk River at 812 Main Street on July 29, 2010, and again to the same address on July 20, 2012. A significant transition occurred on March 7, 2008, when the bank acquired Security State Bank of Maple Lake.
