History Of First Advantage Bank

First Advantage Bank was established in 1953 under the name First Federal Savings Bank. Throughout its history, the institution underwent several organizational changes, including a move of its main office to 200 North Second Street in Clarksville, Tennessee, in October 1987, and later to 1430 Madison Street in May 2006. In July 2011, the bank changed its name to First Advantage Bank. Significant regulatory changes occurred in February 2012, when the bank transitioned its primary federal regulatory agency to the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, changed its organization type to a commercial bank, and reclassified itself as a state-chartered bank not associated with the Federal Reserve System. The bank experienced further consolidation when it merged with Reliant Bank in April 2020, and subsequently with United Community Bank in January 2022, marking the end of its independent operations in Greenville, South Carolina.
