History Of Financial Federal Bank
Financial Federal Bank is a commercial bank headquartered in Memphis, Tennessee. It was originally established on January 1, 1973, under the name McMinn County Savings and Loan Association Incorporated. Over the years, the institution underwent several changes in its organizational structure and regulatory oversight. On December 31, 1985, it changed its name to Financial Federal Savings Bank and transitioned to a stock savings bank, with the Office of Thrift Supervision (OTS) as its primary federal regulatory agency. Subsequently, in January 1988, it reorganized under the jurisdiction of the OTS. The bank moved its main office several times, with significant relocations occurring in January 1999 to 6305 Humphreys Boulevard in Memphis, where it operated until May 27, 2014, when it moved to its current location at 1715 Aaron Brenner Drive, Suite 100, Memphis, Tennessee. On November 1, 2012, the bank adopted its current name, Financial Federal Bank, and shifted its status to a state-chartered bank, becoming a member of the Federal Reserve System, and changing its primary federal regulatory agency to the Federal Reserve. Prior to this, from July 21, 2011, it had been regulated by The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency.
