History Of FCNB Bank
FCNB Bank, originally established as the Bank of Leasburg in 1906, has undergone several name and regulatory changes throughout its history. In 1934, the institution changed its name to Community Bank in Steelville, Missouri. It became a member of the Federal Reserve System on September 8, 1941, but later withdrew from membership in 1974. The bank changed its name to First Community National Bank of Crawford County in 1983, at which time it also rejoined the Federal Reserve System and switched its chartering agency to the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency. Over the years, the bank's main office has relocated several times; it moved to its current location at 402 West Main Street in Steelville, Missouri, on July 30, 1979, and later to 407 North Franklin in Cuba, Missouri, in September 1985. The institution officially changed its name to First Community National Bank in March 1991 and transitioned to full trust powers in February 1990. After several more changes, including a rebranding to FCNB Bank on November 11, 2021, it became a state-chartered bank and a member of the Federal Reserve System once again on December 15, 2021.
