Fayette County Bank was established on January 1, 1894, originally operating under its founding name. Over the years, the bank underwent several changes in its regulatory status and location. On February 28, 1941, it changed its primary federal regulatory agency to the Federal Reserve and became a state-chartered bank, thus becoming a member of the Federal Reserve System.
