Farmers State Bank of Sublette

Farmers State Bank of Sublette was established on January 1, 1920, in Sublette, Illinois. The bank initially operated under its original name until it experienced several significant changes throughout its history. On September 7, 1972, the institution expanded its services by changing its trust powers to full. In 1986, the main office was relocated to 303 South Pennsylvania Avenue in Sublette. Over two decades later, on March 30, 2007, the bank opted to change its trust powers to none. Subsequently, on June 11, 2016, Farmers State Bank of Sublette merged with Pioneer State Bank, based in Earlville, Illinois. The bank ultimately closed voluntarily and liquidated its assets on September 30, 2023.
