History Of Farmers State Bank of Camp Point
Farmers State Bank of Camp Point was established on September 30, 1921, in Camp Point, Illinois. Over the years, the bank underwent several changes in its operational structure and location. On June 11, 1970, the bank moved its main office from 201 East Jefferson Street to a new location at 206 West Wood Street. The institution also withdrew from membership in the Federal Reserve System on the same day. In 1983, the bank moved its main office again, this time to 206 East Wood Street, and on September 14, 1983, it increased its trust powers to a full capacity. However, on February 1, 1989, the bank decided to change its trust powers to none. Farmers State Bank of Camp Point continued its operations until June 23, 2017, when it merged with United Community Bank located in Chatham, Illinois.
