Farmers State Bank

Farmers State Bank was established in 1892, initially serving the banking needs of its local community. Over the years, the institution underwent significant changes, including the relocation of its main office on May 2, 1994, to 102 East Main Street in Mentone, Indiana. On June 1, 2016, Farmers State Bank merged with Horizon Bank, National Association, based in Michigan City, Indiana, becoming a part of the larger banking organization. Subsequently, on June 24, 2017, the institution officially changed its name to Horizon Bank, reflecting its integration into the Horizon Bank brand.
