Farmers State Bank was established on November 15, 1915, in Nebraska. Throughout its history, the bank underwent several changes in its physical location, most notably moving its main office from Main Street to 100 South 3rd Street in Humphrey, Nebraska, on June 12, 1995. Prior to this, the main office had been situated on Main Street in Humphrey since April 18, 1990. On July 1, 2016, Farmers State Bank merged with Bank of the Valley, which is also based in Bellwood, Nebraska, marking the end of its independent operations.
