Farmers & Merchants Bank, originally established as Farmers & Merchants Bank of Lodi on May 24, 1916, is a financial institution located in California. The bank became a member of the Federal Reserve System on August 8, 1940, reflecting its growth and expansion in the banking industry. On April 12, 1957, it changed its name to Farmers & Merchants Bank of Central California. In 2005, the bank transitioned to a state-chartered institution and withdrew from membership in the Federal Reserve System, while also changing its primary federal regulatory agency to the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation.
