Farmers Exchange Bank was established on May 4, 1908, originally under the name Farmers Exchange Bank of Neshkoro in Neshkoro, Wisconsin. Over the years, the bank underwent several significant changes, including a relocation of its main office. The main office was first moved to Main Street in Neshkoro on September 30, 1989, and later to 846 North Main Street on October 9, 1995. On December 21, 1999, the institution changed its name officially to Farmers Exchange Bank. In February 2016, it merged with Hometown Bank in Fond Du Lac, Wisconsin. The bank's history came to an end on February 10, 2023, when it merged again, this time becoming part of Bank First, N.A. in Manitowoc, Wisconsin.
