Farmers Deposit Bank of Middleburg was established on January 1, 1904, originally bearing the name Farmers Deposit Bank. Over the years, the institution underwent several significant changes. On September 30, 1989, the main office was relocated to Main Street in Middleburg, Kentucky. In 1991, the bank officially changed its name to Farmers Deposit Bank of Middleburg, Inc. A further move took place on April 13, 2009, when the bank's main office was transferred to 2959 Shorttown Road, Middleburg, Kentucky. The bank expanded its operations in September 1997 by acquiring Lincoln Federal Savings Bank located in Liberty, Kentucky. In February 1973, the bank modified its trust powers to a limited status. Ultimately, on January 31, 2020, Farmers Deposit Bank of Middleburg merged and became part of The Farmers National Bank of Danville in Danville, Kentucky.
